What are the humanities in Waldorf Schools?

The goal in Waldorf education is to expose children to a wide range of experiences and to develop within them many interests and capabilities. Art, music, drama and movement are integrated into core academics, giving students multiple perspectives and ways of grasping the material.

What does this look like for the students? In our Grade 6 class this week it meant learning about ancient Rome through presenting a performance on Boudicca, the British queen who led a revolt against Roman rule; creating a “Roman Times” newspaper and even constructing a Roman aqueduct.
