Whistler community enjoyed Grade 8 projects

Grade 8 students stood in front of an audience of nearly 100 people today and presented their Grade 8 projects.

This year’s projects ranged from building violins to building hydrogen fuel cells. Students created businesses, authored books and documentaries, choreographed skating routines, designed longboards, snowboards and even trailers for tiny homes. Others baked cakes and sculpted cats. The projects were as unique and inspiring as the students themselves.
Each year WWS’ grade eight students have the opportunity to have a truly independent learning experience based on their individual interests and inspiration.

Students combine the academic, artistic, and intellectual capacities fostered by their Waldorf education to research, develop, and present a project of their choosing. The maturity and self-motivation required to accomplish such a project is an apt representation of their transition to high school.

Congratulations to our students for the effort, energy and heart you put into your projects!
