In the Classroom – Clay Work

This term in the high school, students had the opportunity to experiment with clay. They learned to use the pottery wheel and made many bowls and mugs.

They also learned to hand-build items using the slab-building and coil methods, creating boxes and a variety of other shaped pieces with that technique. In addition, they worked on chessboards collaboratively.

They discussed their ideas, drawing on their imagination, inquiry, experimentation and play, creating two separate sets, with the themes of: BEACH vs FOREST and ANATOMY vs BOTANY.
