Host of celebratory events planned

Board Update – September 2025

On behalf of the Whistler Waldorf School Board of Trustees, we want to welcome everyone to the 2025-26 school year. This year holds special significance for Whistler Waldorf School! 2025 marks our school’s 25th anniversary. Born from the entrepreneurial spirit of three founding families who envisioned an education guided by creativity, courage, and purpose.

  • Launched in 2000, WWS has grown exponentially thanks to the support and demand from the communities of Whistler and Pemberton for an independent choice in education in our region.
  • Whistler Waldorf has grown from a bold idea into a thriving school community. Today, the Whistler Waldorf School serves nearly 175 K–12 students and 50 children in our childcare programs.
  • The school provides a strong academic foundation ranked in the top 8% of B.C. schools, one that is enriched by experiential learning and a curriculum that fosters resilience, imagination, and meaning.

It feels especially fitting that our 25th Anniversary coincides with an exciting new chapter for the school. As we celebrate 25 years, and honour the history of Whistler’s only independent school, we are also looking ahead with excitement and anticipation to a strong future for the school as the permanent site project continues to make significant headway.

This year, we look forward to taking time to celebrate all that has been accomplished! Stay tuned as more celebratory dates will be coming shortly.

WWS Community

As we reunite with old friends after the summer, we are also looking forward to meeting new ones. This year, WWS is delighted to welcome 23 new students and their families into the school community! Back to school has its own special energy and we invite our entire community to come together to take part in upcoming events, class socials, and parent meetings. Please save the date for back to school and fall events including:

The school’s strength lies in the generous support and active involvement of the entire community. It’s this spirit of collaboration that helps create the vibrant, nurturing environment that makes WWS truly exceptional.
