Winter Spiral – Sunday Nov. 30
Sign-up is required, as seating is limited for each session. Siblings are welcome to walk the spiral together. Families are kindly asked to arrive on time, as late entry will not be permitted in order to preserve the quiet, reverent atmosphere throughout the event.
⌚Times: 2 seatings at 3:30 and 4:45
📍Location: Spruce Grove Fieldhouse for families with children in Pre-K to Grade 2.
What is the Winter Spiral?
As winter approaches, many cultures around the world hold festivals of light which remind us to carry our inner light into the long, dark nights of winter. At the Whistler Waldorf School we welcome the children to celebrate the Winter Spiral together on November 30th. Children will walk the evergreen spiral to light each their own candle at the centre and place it along the spiral as they journey their way back out. This beautiful, peaceful celebration, honouring our warm, inner light, is accompanied with gentle music and imagery which we encourage families to carry with them to a quiet, reflective evening with family.
