Nina Moore has taught 15 years at WWS

We’re thrilled to announce that one of our exceptional teachers, Nina Moore, has been awarded the 2025 Gordon Gore Prize for Excellence in Science Teaching — congratulations, Nina!

This prestigious award honours the legacy of Dr. Gordon Gore, a renowned science educator in British Columbia whose work impacted thousands of students and teachers. Through his physics textbooks, engaging demonstrations, and the founding of the BIG Little Science Centre in Kamloops, Dr. Gore made a lasting contribution to science education in the province.

At Waldorf, science education is brought to life through hands-on exploration, inquiry-based learning, and a deep integration with the arts and humanities. Ms. Moore embodies this approach in every lesson she teaches. Her dynamic and creative methods, combined with her passion for discovery and commitment to her students, make her a shining example of what makes the Waldorf science program so unique and inspiring.
