Join author Katherine Johnson Martinko to learn six myths about digital media and alternatives and solutions you can implement immediately in your home life. Katherine was recently featured on the CBC. Every year, WWS organizes a parent education and information series with Educators, Authors, Keynote speakers and more to provide opportunities for parents to further their parental and educational journey as well.

 

 

 

 

Kindergarten (Briar Rose) Intro. for Early Years Parents – Evening session

Thinking ahead to Kindergarten enrollment? Join us to learn more about the Whistler Waldorf School Briar Rose program.

The info session will include a short presentation on program details, rates, the admissions process & wait pool policy information. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions. Please note that this is an adult oriented event.

Whistler Waldorf features a caring, thoughtfully designed learning environment integrating arts, movement, music and storytelling into the curriculum daily. This allows children to learn the best way they know how – by doing!

Please look for an email from your teacher to RSVP as spots are limited. Or email us to register if your child is not currently in our Early years programs at Whistler Waldorf School.

All of the open house sessions are in person and take place at Whistler Waldorf School.

Gr. 7 Outdoor Field Trip – Sailing

Grade 7’s participate in a mini-Outdoor Field Trip on a pre-planned trip to a local B.C. Destination or on a local outdoor adventure. (Pic. is not demonstrative of annual activity – just an example.)

Grade 3 Play Performance

The Grade 3’s will perform a play performance to showcase their work in drama and the arts. Exact performance times and location will be communicated in the teacher newsletter.

FSA – Grade 7

Foundational Skills Assessment (FSA) for Grade 7  will be going on this week. Exact times/dates are sent in the teacher newsletter.

Foundational Skills Assessment (FSA) for Grade 4 are on this week. Specific details with times/dates will be included in the teacher newsletter.

Grade 5 Olympiad Feast

Grade 5 Olympic feast night!

A feast, with parents invited to celebrate the learning in our classroom for the past year about Greek history, culture, literature and of course, the final Olympiad!

Evening Concert Fundraiser

New for 2024, join the WWS community at a musical evening of giving for the benefit of the Whistler Waldorf School @ the beautiful Wedge Mountain Lodge located at 9120 Riverside Drive in Wedgemont.

All proceeds support the Whistler Waldorf School with a teacher’s wish list Raise the Paddle and including tapas and drinks. This is a formal performance evening at an architecturally stunning and luxury mountain lodge setting.  Families are encouraged but the evening is best suited for students 6 and up who will enjoy an engaged experience listening to a seated, sophisticated concert.

Presenting Conductor Yuko Iwanaga and the Sea to Sky Strings Orchestra and feature performance by renowned Canadian cellist Christopher Hwang
