Eco-School awards WWS with Platinum Certification

Whistler Waldorf School is proud to announce that it has earned EcoSchool Canada Platinum Certification, the highest level of recognition from EcoSchools Canada signifying that a school has an well-established, defining environmental program and integrates environmental learning and action into its culture. This achievement highlights the school’s commitment to environmental sustainability, environmental educational excellence, and community engagement. 

Whistler Waldorf School earned this honor after meeting the rigorous criteria in all areas of environmental action and education. 

“We are incredibly proud to receive the Platinum Certification,” said Ms. West, Principal. “This accomplishment is the result of the dedication and hard work of our students, staff, and community members who are passionate about protecting the environment. It’s a testament to the incredible impact that can be made when everyone works together toward a common goal of sustainability.” 

The certification also reflects the school’s ongoing commitment to fostering environmental leadership among students, encouraging them to engage in green initiatives and become active advocates for the planet. 

This achievement was made possible thanks to the collective effort of the school community, including students, teachers, staff, and community partners. Whistler Waldorf is excited to continue its journey toward furthering its environmental initiatives and expanding its sustainability efforts. As part of this ongoing work, the school is exploring new opportunities to engage students in hands-on environmental projects and strengthen community partnerships.
