Students Learn the value of this national program
Our Outdoor Education students completed their AdventureSmart certification, a standardized cross-Canada program designed to prepare people for the outdoors, promote safe adventuring, and reduce emergency situations. AdventureSmart is dedicated to encouraging Canadians and visitors to Canada to ”Get informed and go outdoors”.
Students set up a variety of emergency shelters in cold conditions, and compared the pros and cons of different styles, and reviewed knots for different applications.
