Larisa Valentin – WWS Alum. Parent

“Waldorf education has had an enormous influence on shaping my children who are now young adults. They have interpersonal skills and developed empathy that no-doubt were imparted by their education. They are both flourishing in rigorous academic environments, but I like to believe that their education made them value the learning in a more meaningful way as they jump through the hoops of a university education. They know how to make connections between subjects both in and out of school, and they see their professors as human beings with whom they can interact. I think the outdoor trips and education were extremely formative, contributing to their resilience, love of nature, sense of camaraderie and resourcefulness. They both have an aesthetic flair that comes for the beauty of the environment in which they were surrounded.”
