Preparing for  Life – with the Waldorf School of Peninsula

This fantastic short film (approx. 15 mins) titled Preparing for Life is a documentary about the Waldorf School of the Peninsula and produced by PotentialSF. “For children to lead successful lives in any sector of our society, whether that’s in technology, the arts, education or the public sector, they will need the capacities for creativity, resiliency and innovative thinking, all diverse skills that transcend disciplines and foster high levels of social and emotional intelligence. Preparing for Life captures the essence of how the Waldorf School of the Peninsula prepares students to be ’21st century smart’. It takes a comprehensive look at the school though scenes from the classroom; parent, teacher, and alumni interviews; student work and performances; and sports, festivals and community events.”*

Learn to Change the World – Waldorf 100 Film

“The film “Learn to Change the World”, also produced by PotentialSF, shows people from around the world who work on the big pedagogical tasks of our time based on Waldorf/Steiner pedagogy. It is the first of more to come which aim to show concrete approaches to these tasks.”* It is the first in a series of three films that outline the approach Waldorf Education is taking in the 21st century and the evidence to why Waldorf philosophies still resonate in this day and age. “The 2nd film – Waldorf 100 – Part 2  deals with encounter, engagement and inclusion: learning that goes beyond merely accumulating information can be understood as an individual way to seek the truth. The final film  –“Becoming” is the third film in a series of short films produced on the occasion of the centenary of Waldorf Education under the direction of the award-winning Californian documentary filmmaker Paul Zehre.”*
